Micromax Unite 2 A106 Received Android 5.0 Lollipop Update

As Promised by Micromax before, Finally Micromax Rolling out Android 5.0. Today on 30 May 2015, I checked manually on my Micromax Unite 2 A106 smartphone and i am really happy to see that its TRUE. Finally I have a Android 5.0 Lollipop Update on my smartphone.

That probably led to some level of distrust between Micromax and its customers. On a more positive note, the Indian company has announced that Unite 2, one of its most popular smartphones, is now getting the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

The update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so it might not be available to all devices at the same time. If you haven't been notified on the update, you can manually search for it by heading to Settings / About phone / Software update. If it doesn't appear yet, then you should try again later.

Micromax  Unite 2 A106 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update

According to Micromax, the Android 5.0 Lollipop file has about 400MB in size, but you will need at least 1GB of free space in order to upgrade. Also, you should make sure that your phone's battery is at least 40% charged before attempting to upgrade.

That being said, let's hope more Micromax smartphones launched last year will be getting the update, though, by the time they do, Google might have already released Android M.
