Motorola's New Moto G  3rd generation already Launched in India starting July 29</h3>
Motorola has unveiled the third-generation Moto G smartphone in the Indian market, bringing more competition to the already overcrowded segment. India is the first market receiving the new Moto G model.<br />

The new smartphones comes in two variants: one featuring 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and priced at Rs 11,999, and the other with 16GB in-built storage, 2GB RAM and Rs 12,999 price tag. Motorola said that the new smartphone will exclusively available via Flipkart and will go on sale starting 12am, July 29.<br />

On the hardware side, Moto G (Gen 3) comes with a 5-inch IPS screen with 720x1280p resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection and runs on the 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB RAM. The smartphone supports 4G network on both sim slots and microSD cards for storage expansion.<br />
<br />
For imaging, the latest iteration of Moto G smartphone comes with 13MP rear camera with colour-balancing, dual-LED flash and wide-angle 5MP front camera for selfies. The battery capacity of the smartphone is 2,470mAh, which lasts 20% more than the second-generation Moto G's 2,070mAh battery.<br />

The new Moto G (Gen 3) smartphone is IPx7 certified, meaning that it is resistant to water damage up to 30 minutes (maximum depth of 1 metre).<br />

Like all Motorola smartphones of the past couple of years, the new Moto G (Gen 3) runs on vanilla version of Android 5.1, with a few proprietary Motorola features on top. Among these software features are Moto Display and Quick Capture that have been seen in previous Motorola phones; a new feature is Chop Twice, which turns the flash on and off by doing a karate chop in quick succession.<br />
<br />
The new Moto G (Gen 3) comes in white and black colours, and the company is offering back covers in various colours as customization option.<br />
<br />
As part of the introductory offer that lasts till August 2, Motorola is giving 100 buyers the new Moto G (Gen 3) for free, while another 100 will get it for Re 1. The company is giving Rs 500 off on Flipkart's fashion products and 33% discount on Myntra. Buyers also get a bundled Airtel 4G sim as well as double data offer, along with a Wynk Plus subscription, for 6 months.<br />

Those who already own Moto E and Moto G models will get a discount if they upgrade to the third-generation Moto G.<br />
Amit Boni, Motorola India general manager, said that the company grew 118% globally in the past year, and at a faster clip in India.<br />

Sony Xperia Z3, Z2, Z1 is getting Android 5.1 Lollipop Update Confirmed by SFR</h3>
A French network carrier has revealed the Android 5.1 Lollipop roll-out schedule of Sony's Xperia Z series smartphones.<br />
<br />
SFR (Société française de radiotéléphone) has confirmed that new Android update deployment process for Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, Z2, Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra will commence only in August, one month late than what Sony had promised a few weeks ago.<br />
<br />
The French carrier also added that Xperia Z and Tablet Z will get the incremental firmware in September, whereas the update release date for Xperia M2 will be announced a little later in the year.<br />

This revelation from SFR brings back the bad memories of Sony delaying updates to Xperia Z series. After announcing roll-out plans in November 2014, it took more than five months for Sony to finally commence update release to its device.<br />

Many Xperia Z device owners will be peeved off to hear from SFR that 5.1 update might get delayed by a month, but we suggest our readers not to jump the gun yet as SFR is a network carrier and it is normal for locked devices to get updates late compared to unlocked siblings.<br />

Contract-based locked phones usually go through an additional testing in the carrier network's research lab, whereas the unlocked phones get updates directly delivered by Sony.<br />

So, it is likely that Sony will commence the update roll-out on time (in July) as promised.<br />
<br />
For the uninitiated, Android v5.1 Lollipop is a stability firmware that brings enhancements to ART (Android Run Time), allowing apps load faster and fix the memory leak issue that used to cause constant crash of apps, after updating Android 5.0 Lollipop.<br />
<br />
It is also said to fix "Okay Google" glitch and bring the silent mode that has been missing since the phones got updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop update.<br />
<br />
Other improvements include Wi-Fi toggle option access in Quick Settings and a fix for the SMS issue, random app crashes of dialer and messaging apps.<br />

To shore up credibility, Kamal and his wife Neelam (Shefali) invite their rich friends on a luxurious Mediterranean cruise, joined by son Kabir (Ranveer), daughter Ayesha (Priyanka), her pompous husband Manav (Rahul), his complaining mother ( Zarina Wahab), the gentle Mehra dog Pluto - and lots of bitchy buddies.<br />

Dil Dhadakne Do goes behind the glossy grins of Indian family life, presenting screaming, sobbing dysfunction, heart-ripping extramarital affairs, bitter gender discrimination and heavy parental control. Yet, it has a light hand, not preachy but breezy while sensitively making modern points.<br />
<br />
Family scenes - Kamal sourly taunting Neelam's weight, Kabir silently supporting Ayesha, Neelam weepily bingeing on chocolate, Kamal tackling bills with pills - are little gems, capturing the daily friction, the deep hurt, the bonds and binds families represent.<br />
<br />
Performances impact - Anil Kapoor is terrific as dominating, steel-haired, stressed-out Kamal, Shefali as stiff Neelam, whose coldness to her daughter chills a Turkish hamaam, whose plasticky response to her son's worries is, "Awww, cheese toast banwayun?" Priyanka Chopra presents a finely tense Ayesha, building a winning business - but crumbling under a miserable marriage, her last straw being Sunny (Farhan, who smoulders satisfactorily).<br />

The revelation however is Ranveer Singh in a new avataar - his Kabir is unsure, vulnerable, sometimes weak. Combining gentleness with slow grit, Ranveer makes this family saga also about a boy.<br />

Hilariously, another Indian 'family member' appears - the aunty, several sparkling entertainers on board, gossiping, judging, surprising partying progeny whose guilty drawl, "I was hanging out..." meets an outraged, "Hanging out what - clothes?!"<br />
<br />
Cameos, clashes, confessions - and the pulsatingly long-take 'Amritsari Chooriyan' - crescendo in a climax when an 'amargancy' forces the Mehras to sink or swim.<br />
<br />
With her quirky third, Zoya Akhtar further sharpens her oeuvre - the stylish ensemble tale, where journeys take over destinations. On this ship, a few bolts could be tighter. The Kabir-Farah track over-extends while British Farah's Indian accent and Indian Ayesha's American accent should've been ironed out.<br />
<br />
But these are fleeting clouds on an otherwise beautiful sea, hosting a cruise which hilariously combines butter chicken with bruschetta while searching beyond Bollywood's emotional Botox for a family's warts - and its heart.<br />
